The Igor I. Sikorsky Historical Archives will take part in the 12th annual release of Two Roads Brewing’s Igor’s Dream Imperial Stout, on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Sikorsky Archives members will be at the event with a display that celebrates the 85th anniversary of the first flight of the VS-300 helicopter, which took place on September 14, 1939.  Included will be an original VS-300 helicopter rotor blade as well as a 1:4 scale model of the VS-300A helicopter.

Two Roads Brewing collaborated with the Sikorsky Archives to create this year’s Imperial Stout bottle, which features Igor Sikorsky’s Helicopter Pilot’s License No. 1.  Igor Sikorsky was issued the first helicopter pilot’s license by the State of Connecticut on May 14, 1940.

The Sikorsky Archives will have packages for sale at the event that will offer Igor’s Dream Release Day attendees the opportunity to own a piece of aviation history, an actual piece of the VS-300A helicopter’s fabric skin!  The Sikorsky Archives will have a limited quantity of the VS-300A’s fabric skin swatches for sale at the event as part of the following packages:
