90. September 24, 2015 – Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial commemorated at Abraham Nichols Park, Trumbull, Connecticut

The Historical Society and the Town of Trumbull, with the support of the Sikorsky Foundation and the Sikorsky Historical Archives, erected a permanent memorial at Abraham Nichols Park in honor of long-time town resident Igor Sikorsky and was dedicated on Thursday, September 24, 2015. 

The MEMORIAL features an exhibit in the museum of the many accomplishments of Igor Sikorsky (1889-1972), who invented the modern helicopter and developed other aviation breakthroughs.
